Why just push broadband bandwidth when you could also unleash entrepreneurial bandwidth?

Virgin Media Business wanted a purpose that raised them above and beyond BT’s superior reach, presence and budget in the business broadband sector.

VOOM was the answer. A purposeful Virgin-spirited campaign that used Connectivity, Community and Competition, and a slew of powerful partners, like Crowdfunder, LinkedIn, Paypal and more, to unleash digital advantage in Great Small British businesses. This powerful coalition was elevated further by Richard Branson and guest judges of global entrepreneurial superstar players, and prizes measured in millions.

The primary task was to create a branding idea for VMB that was wholly Virgin in spirit, but allowed other partners to sit and act under a more collective purposeful and singular vision as equals.

The VOOM theme and its vibrant logo identity were developed to capture the unique ‘energy’ to be found inside entrepreneurial small businesses.

This entailed doing a brand i.d. and set of guidelines to steer all applications of the logo design across all channels and materials

The spirit of the VOOM purpose was rooted in a simple human insight: the very fear that holds people back from starting a business is the same fear that will carry them through the turbulence and succeed. So we created a VOOM film featuring Richard Branson rooted in a simple call to arms: FEAR IS AN ENERGY

Each year the value of VOOM to Virgin Media Business and the partners was demonstrated through an Impact Report circulated to all stakeholders in the VOOMisphere.
